This is what you call a real gem
And just think I have already put it togeather once and now it is time to take it apart again.I will put it togeather and take it apart several times before it is done.
A Lot Of Holes To Weld , Dents to Repair And a Lot Of Surface Rust Should Make This A Lot Of Fun.
Welded all the holes where I removed all the door handles and chrome welding made the body work eaiser.
The first thing you need to do is make up your mind if you want to spend the next three to five years building your hot rod. Most of the time when you have some extra money you do not have the extra time or the other way around. If you are married and your wife is against you building a hot rod and you go ahead and start one you will never finish it.Only 40% of all hot rods are finished by the person that starts them. The 46 Plymouth that Iam building now belonged to a man who took the car apart I mean every nut and bolt then his wife told him either the car goes or I do. So he sold me the car and it took two pick up trucks and a flat bed trailer to get it all home but it was cheap. Most of the time unless you are very lucky you don,t get the car you really want because of the price. Who on a budget can pay 3500 to 5000 dollars for a 1937 something that needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. So find one as close to what you want and can afford and that is about all you can do. Make sure it is not to rusty because that will cost to much money in the long run you are better off taking off 5 coats of old paint then to fight to much rust. I guess you figured out by now if you have a lot of money you don,t need this web site. So go get your car and I will meet you on page two. The pictures below will give you some Idea of what you are in for. As I was working on my car and meeting other rodders the one thing I did find a lot of is rodders just plain paying to much for junk. Be very careful when you go looking for a car and check around real good at prices before you buy a car.
Getting Started Building Your Hot Rod
If I made five dollars per hour for the time I worked on this car I would be a rich man. If you are going to do a hot rod to make a profit wake up you are having a bad dream.
